Here’s a funny story. Somebody at The Red Cross that has access to their Twitter account made a bit of a mistake last night. They posted a tweet proclaiming:
The tweet has since been removed, but of course, stuff like that doesn’t just go away on the Internet. It’s been retweeted tons of times and there’s no way to get rid of all of those.
Eventually, Dogfish Head noticed it, and so did their fans. In a spontaneous bit of kindness, Dogfish Head’s loyal customers (myself included) have made donations to The Red Cross in honor of that guy’s love of craft beer. The brewery has turned this silly little mistake into a wonderful thing. This is the kind of stuff that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about social media.
